The one and only Boulangerie Haddad on boulevard Laurentien, the original middle eastern bakery in Montreal, has been cheerfully serving up authentic Armenian and Middle Eastern delicacies since 1998. With over 50 years of family tradition and recipes, we strive to bring our rich culture and vibrant flavors to your table. “Boulangerie”, the French word for bakery and “Haddad”, an ancient Middle Eastern family name, offers Montreal a unique window into traditional Armenian and Middle Eastern cuisine through offerings such as Za’atar, Lahmajoun and Middle Eastern cheeses. In our bakery, you will find our shelves and cases filled with goods made fresh every day completely by hand with all natural ingredients and no preservatives. We treat you as if you are eating at our family table.

While you’re here, we hope you will try one of our favorite specialties, Za’atar. Za’atar is a savory blend of spices and herbs like oregano, marjoram or thyme, cumin, coriander with sesame seeds , salt and sumac. We also offer Lahmajoun, a pizza-like dish that is traditionally made with ground lamb or beef, onions, tomatoes, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, cumin, paprika and parsley on a thin dough crust and baked.
